Sydney Number Plate Auction Takes $2.4 million

Enthusiasts and collectors paid a record $2.4 million for 49 rare, numerical New South Wales numberplates in Sydney on Thursday night (June 18), comfortably exceeding expectations and blowing away any notions of a recession.
