Sydney Harbour Painting at Bonhams

A 19th century oil painting of the chartered Royal Yacht “Ophir” in 1901 entering Sydney Harbour during the Royal World tour by the Duke and Duchess of York, (later George V and Queen Mary) in 1901, will be sold by Bonhams on March 25 in the Marine Picture Sale in Knightsbridge.

It is estimated to make £10,000-15,000. This great Sydney painting is accompanied by the watercolour sketch for the same picture, estimated to sell for £3,000-5,000.
