Russell Drysdale painting Sets Auction Record

A portrait by Australian artist Russell Drysdale has sold for a record $1.89 million at Sotheby’s Important Australian Art sale.
The painting of Rocky McCormack, a farmer, from Riverina, was painted between 1962 and 1963.
The previous record for a Drysdale painting was set earlier this year at $1.68 million.

Turners New Zealand Auction Profit up 55%
