Tathra annual auction

Published January 11th, 2008

The annual auction of antiques and collectables held last Sunday maintained its reputation, realising good prices.

Top prices were $2,100 for a cedar chest of draws, $2,000 for an English mahogany book case and $1,200 for an English oak hall stand.

Auctioneer David Smith of Bower Auctions said 90 bidders had registered for the auction and prices realised were well in line with the real value of the items offered.

“The Tathra auction is always well supported and we are very satisfied with the result,” Mr Smith said.
