Tame Iti painting fetches $1500 at auction

A painting by Maori activist Tame Iti after he was released from jail has sold for $1,500 at a charity auction in Wellington.

It was the highlight of the auction on Saturday for Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Nga Mokopun, a school in Seatoun.

Mr Iti still faces firearms possession charges, but will not now be charged under terrorism laws.
