$500,000 bid for Ford GT HO is not enough

An Australian muscle car attracted a bid in excess of half-a-million dollars at auction in Adelaide yesterday – but the Ford GT HO is still for sale.
The iconic 1971 Falcon XY, with 157,000 miles on the speedometer, was passed in at $550,000.
The vendor wanted at least $600,000.
Auctioneer Larry Bennett, of Bennett’s Car Auctions in North Adelaide, yesterday said negotiations were underway with interested parties in Perth and Sydney.
