Falcon GTHO for Sydney motor show auction – Oct 21

THE price for a classic Falcon GTHO muscle car is heading toward $1 million.
The top auction price for one of the muscle cars of $683,650 was set earlier this year.
However that looks set to be broken at the Sydney motor show auction on October 21.
Auctioneers Shannons will offer a restored 1971 Monza Green Phase III Falcon XY GTHO which the auctioneer forecasts will fetch up to $800,000 because of its excellent condition and history.
Shannons national auctions manager, Christophe Boribon said: “It’s probably one of the nicest Phase IIIs we’ve ever had on offer.
“The quality of the restoration, the originality of the car being correct in colour scheme and everything that came out of the factory.”
