ACMA to auction digital TV channels

The communications watchdog will soon publish a revised timetable for the auction of two new digital television channels, Communications Minister Helen Coonan says.
Senator Coonan announced last year that two new channels, known as Channel A and Channel B, would fill two unallocated lots of spectrum and help drive digital take-up among consumers.

Brisbane woman fined for putting tickets on eBay

A 21-year-old Brisbane woman who tried to scalp tickets to the first State of Origin match last month has been fined $150.
The Brisbane Magistrates Court heard Elizabeth Jetnikoff listed six tickets on eBay at a combined valued of $260.

Police halt Jimmy Jame medals auction

POLICE have seized a collection of valuable medals awarded to legendary Aboriginal tracker Jimmy James to prevent them from being sold at auction today.

eBay Australia told users that beginning from mid-July, regardless of what subcategory a CD belongs to, all CDs listed on eBay.com.au will be classified under category Music > CDs.

The bulk carrier Pasha Bulker has been listed for sale on eBay, attracting bids up to $16 million despite being grounded off a Newcastle beach for more than a week.

Australian Politicians for Auction on eBay

Prime Minister John Howard and Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd have agreed to be listed on eBay in the name of charity, with bids starting at $2,500.
The listing also hints at the timing of the federal election, with Howard apparently confident of being able to play host in the Prime Minister’s residence, The Lodge, in November.
