A SQUASH and gymnasium complex in central Camperdown was passed in and a property at Tyrendarra sold during south-west Victorian auctions on the weekend.

The gym property has planning approval to be converted to four two-bedroom townhouses or could be used for a business.

Elders Real Estate manager for Camperdown and Mortlake Rob Rickard said about 10 people attended the auction where the property was passed in for $175,000 and is now back on the market for $200,000.

“We are hopeful that due to its location and potential for development it will sell,” Mr Rickard said.

Also passed in was a four-bedroom house on 4.6 hectares (11.5 acres) at Darlington Road in Mortlake.

Mr Rickard said a crowd of about 30 attended the auction and the property was passed in for a vendor bid of $280,000.

He said negotiations of the sale were now taking place with prospective buyers.

On Friday 1000 hectares (2471 acres) at Derrinallum were passed in at $1400 an acre during auction in Skipton.

Mr Rickard said about 30 people attended the auction and the property was later sold for an undisclosed amount.

A two-bedroom property on 40 hectares (99 acres) at Tyrendarra sold for $160,000 to a neighbour.

Elders Real Estate manager for Warrnambool and Heywood Nick Adamson said bidding started at a vendor bid of $100,000, there were two bidders and the property sold at the fall of the hammer.
